Boy uses birthday money to help animals

To celebrate his eighth birthday and his love of animals, Connor Robinson of Bellbrook asked his friends to give him donations in place of gifts so that he could help “Second Chance,” an animal rescue group run by the Robinson’s veterinarian, Dr. Sue Rancerello, in Bellbrook. The theme of Robinson’s birthday party was “Second Chance Rescue.” Family and friends who attended the party were greeted with dog and cat balloons, fish and dog bone sugar cookies and a cake with Zaboo’s picture on it. Zaboo is a cat Robinson rescued four years ago.

In lieu of the gifts, Robinson asked those attending to make a donation to Second Chance. He raised $115 plus food and other pet items and presented it to Dr. Rancerello last week. Robinson is a second grader at Stephen Bell Elementary.
